Honey-Lime Marinade
I made this marinade to put on some chicken but I thought I would be nice and take a picture of it without the chicken. It was actually really tasty and would probably work on anything.
Recipe (this is a half recipe for one piece of chicken)
1/8 honey
1 tsp lime juice
1/2 tsp marjoram
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp pepper

Two Yums Up!!
My Applesauce Honey Nut Bread is a success! I gave some to my friend Sherene last night and this morning she said, and I quote, "thanks for the yummy honey bread. i've eaten half of it already. i had a little nibble at first, and then i kept opening it back up 'cause i had to have more."
Go Jamie!! :)

Roasted Vegetable Couscous with Chickpeas and Onion Topping
I was looking for a vegetarian dish to share since most of the stuff I found had meat in it and came across this (click here for the recipe). It was definitely different than anything I've ever had...I'm not sure I had ever eaten Moroccan food before. Anyway, I did like it but we all agreed that it was more like a side dish and not something you could eat as an entree. Owen's comment after one bite was "All done?" and then he pushed himself back from the table so I probably won't make him eat the leftovers:) I didn't include the pinenuts in the topping and didn't have cumin to add to the Ras el Hanout but other than that I stuck with the recipe! That means we got to try parsnips for the first time!
Ready to eat...
There's the hidden couscous!

Wow three pictures on first post!! So obviously the food is my first (possibly only, time will tell) honey submission. It is Applesauce Honey Nut Bread :) It is complimented by a gingerbread martini, not in a martini glass cuz i don't have any that have a bee on it (or just a martini glass in general). The flowers are my Valentines day gift from Nigel. Bee's like flowers so i thought it was appropriate :)

Peanut Butter'n Honey Cookies
Honey Candy?
In my search to find which honey recipe I wanted to make I came across...a bunch of honey recipes I wanted to make. I don't know how many I'll get to before the month is over but I tried one today! It's called honeycomb candy and it is from here. It says you need a thermometer so you know when you get to 300 degrees but I thought I would just be able to tell:) It looks like a pretty color in the after picture but it was very obviously burnt and disgusting. It also made my kitchen get all smoky and smelly. I may try again another time but this was a horrible failure!
